Jet Ski Tours in Santorini

Update: As of early 2024, only one jet ski tour runs along the southern coast of Santorini. This excursion is called the Jet Ski Safari from Perivolos Beach and needs to be reserved ahead of time whenever possible. For the 2024 season, the port authority of Santorini has not approved jet ski trips to the volcano, so the south coast tour is the lone option available. Though not quite as spectacular as the previous volcanic tour, itโ€™s still quite enjoyable. (And significantly more affordable too.)

  • Powered watercraft excursion from Perivolos Beach โ€“ the premier personal watercraft tour in Santorini. An awesome experience! (Book well in advance, as spots sell out for many days from June to September.)
  • This isnโ€™t one of those obnoxious jet ski tours where youโ€™re buzzing past observers and being loud and disruptive. Essentially the opposite. You rarely go close to anywhere with many people and there are few others nearby as youโ€™re driving up the coast and into the caldera (besides the motorboat that is constantly with you). Youโ€™ll be stopping at quiet beaches and gazing up at exceptional scenery that few others get very near to. The boat tours cover a similar area but you donโ€™t get quite as close to cliffs and scenery.
  • Tours are small and exclusive, with three watercrafts offered in total, so thereโ€™s a good chance itโ€™s just your group on the tour. Pricing is per watercraft and each watercraft can be shared between two people.
  • A motorboat accompanies the tour the whole route just in case thereโ€™s some difficulty or if someone gets tired and needs a break on the boat (then one of the staff will ride the jet ski).
  • Key sights on the tour comprise Vlychada Beach, Red Beach, White Beach, Mesa Pigadia and Black Mountain.
  • The length of the tour ranges from approximately 1 hour to 90 minutes based on participants` preferences; you can specify the desired pace and allotted time for swimming. The guide flexibly adjusts the itinerary to suit each group`s needs.
  • This is a great spot for photos, and the guide can take pictures of you during the tour (using his phone or your phone).
  • Accessing the tour location: Public transportation in the form of buses travels directly between Fira and Perivolos, requiring approximately 25 to 30 minutes at a cost of 1.20โ‚ฌ. The stop is about a 5-minute walk away from the tour site. Those coming from Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani, or Kamari will need to switch buses in Fira. Taxicabs can deliver visitors right to the shop`s entrance for around 20โ‚ฌ from Fira. Car rental allows parking along the coastal road close to the tour location.
  • This is one of the most insanely fun things Iโ€™ve done in my life. Really awesome. And the views looking up at the caldera cliffs are just utterly stunning.
  • Advance booking for jet ski tours is recommended if visiting between June and September.
