Though part of an international hotel chain, this resort truly captures the Balinese spirit through traditional gates, ponds, and statues found throughout its tastefully designed grounds. Comfortable guest rooms feature spacious balconies or patios overlooking the lush gardens or pool areas. Spacious suites containing two or three bedrooms (each with its own private bathroom) and massive lounge/kitchen/dining spaces showcase a modern yet pleasing Balinese aesthetic. The lack of direct beach access is offset by an ample lagoon-style pool encircled by vine-draped pergolas, as well as complimentary shuttles to a modest beach club located on powder-soft sand. - Area: One of few resorts in Nusa Dua not directly on the beach, which is 600 meters away. In a busier location, not within the spacious tranquil Nusa Dua complex, but less isolated than most nearby resorts. Numerous facilities are within walking distance.
- Location: Jalan Pantai Mengiat, ITDC Complex, Nusa Dua. Roughly 300 meters southwest of the Southern Gate entrance to the popular resort area of Nusa Dua in southern Bali.
- Transportation To and From the Airport: The sole way to/from the airport is by metered taxi or car with a driver booked in advance. This usually takes about 25 minutes (13 km via the tollway), depending on traffic flow.
- Handy to: Golf course. Additional facilities outside the Nusa Dua complex.

- Most visitors typically consist of family groups seeking an budget-friendly getaway, while couples comprise a smaller share of guests.

- Refreshment Area: Massive twin-tiered pool molded like a lagoon, including gazebos and vine-covered pergolas. Separate pool for younger visitors.
- Spa: The highly-trained staff at In Balance offers a wide range of treatments. Also included are a sauna, beauty salon, jacuzzi, and special area (and treatments) for children.
- Fitness Center: Adjacent to the spa as part of the In Balance Wellness Center. Fully equipped and open 24 hours a day.
- For Families: Play zone. Children’s pool. Kid’s club & exercises. Good-esteem deal deals. Cots.
- Activities: Many options were offered (some at no cost), including soccer, volleyball, yoga, and lessons about Balinese culture. Ping pong and rental of snorkeling gear and bicycles were also available. A water sports counter was located at the beach club.

- Dining and drinking establishments: The Square – Serves as the main location for guests to enjoy buffet breakfasts and other meals throughout the day with open-air and indoor seating areas as well as pool views. - Walking & Cycling: Not situated within the Nusa Dua complex, so roads in the general vicinity are less pleasant for walking, though not as loud and busy as those in Kuta. Bicycles are available for rental at the resort, but the nearby roads are not ideal for cycling. Better to use the beachside path which starts about 600m away.
- Public Transport: In the absence of any public transportation or shuttle buses around Bali, the Kura-Kura Bus service connects Nusa Dua with Ubud and the rest of southern Bali, but schedules are complex and routes confusing.
- Automobiles, Motorcycles, & Taxis: To travel anywhere within southern Bali, readily available and affordable metered taxis are convenient and pleasant. For longer distances, charter a vehicle with a driver for a negotiable fare. Driving a car is not suggested anywhere in Bali; however, motorbikes provide an enjoyable and easy way to navigate around Nusa Dua and neighboring Tanjung Benoa but not elsewhere in southern Bali. All transportation options can be arranged at the resort.
- Local Shuttle Buses: Free shuttle buses connecting major hotels in Nusa Dua with the Bali Collection mall (see below). This serves as a great method for reaching other resorts, beaches, and amenities in Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa.

- Roughly 300 meters north up the main road lies a roundabout with the Southern Entrance to Nusa Dua. Turning left (west) onto Jalan Pantai Mengiat Street from the roundabout presents several highly recommended dining options within a 200m range. Complimentary transport is generally provided.
- Cockatoo International Bar & Restaurant – Outdoor, vibrant setting and shaded space. Known for its seafood selections, fair prices, and hospitable staff.
- Aglio Ristorante – This restaurant provides a pleasant shaded setting along with cuisine options beyond just pizza and pasta. It is popular for its unique decor and great deals during happy hours.
- Nyoman’s Beer Garden – Lively ambiance, meals in a pub style, and welcoming staff. Also acclaimed for their salad bar.
- Mai-Mai – Pleasant surroundings, hospitable barkeeping, and live musical performances.
Otherwise, take the shuttle bus to Bali Collection mall, where even more terrific cafés/bars await, including:

There are a few mini-marts and fundamental shops along the main roadway.
- 54 Cocktail Bar and Sunset Lounge: Bar and dance club welcoming all, with an excellent DJ, friendly staff, and superb cocktails. The festivities commence later here, so arrive around 9 or 10 pm for a relaxed atmosphere or after midnight for livelier conditions.

- Bali National Golf Club – Offers an eighteen hole golf course stretching across either side of the road with challenging holes. The clubhouse is located approximately six hundred meters further south down the road from the entrance to the resort.
