- Nearest Station: Syntagma ( 4-minute walk). The metro line running from the airport directly to Syntagma station, departing every 30 minutes from 5:30am until around midnight. The journey takes 45 minutes and costs €10 (€24 for groups of 3). The subway station is a 5 to 10-minute stroll from baggage claim; elevators are available.
- Taxi: Airport cabs to central Athens charge a flat rate of €38 throughout the day and €60 from midnight to 5am.
- Booking transportation via Welcome Pickups car service is recommended. While a bit more costly than a taxi at around €40, pre-paying ensures avoiding delays and provides convenience.
