While here, I recommend visiting the ancient cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, and Khiva, where you’ll find the best examples of Silk Road architecture. Then, there is the capital city of Tashkent, a delightful and striking mix of old-world and contemporary. And, if you venture out further, you can witness the disappearing Aral Sea.
