Providing rooms at affordable rates without lacking amenities, Ibis City Centre has a functional yet lively style.
This hotel is part of an international chain known for its compact boutique style. Guests sense the personality from when they first enter the lobby. While the bathrooms are on the small side, the rooms are very comfortable otherwise. The decor has a chic feel yet the walls feature older photographs of Bangalore (the city`s previous name). The wide desk faces a half-sized window with appealing views of the stadium and gardens. There is no pool, spa, or mini-bar, but guests who do not require these amenities can take advantage of the significantly lower rates. The hotel faces a main road but the rooms adequately block out sound, and uniquely, it adjoins a fascinating residential area that seems like a village despite being in the city center.

Ibis City Centre – The Location
- Location:30 Rajaram Mohan Roy Road. Heading west one-way, past the ITC Gardenia hotel, a recognizable landmark.
- Location: Within an inner-city commercial district. To the rear of the hotel is a fascinating and reasonably affluent residential area that resembles a village.
- Arriving at the Hotel: One of the easiest ways to travel the 35 km from the airport is by metered taxi or rideshare services like Uber or Ola which can be prearranged. Also very convenient and low-cost are the regular blue express buses that operate around the clock, with a stop at Richmond Circle just 500m from the hotel. The property is located approximately 3.5 km from Bangalore`s main railway station and neighboring bus terminal.
Ibis City Centre – The Basics
- Guests: Generally visitors from India and overseas who do not require the additional expected amenities at a higher graded and more expensive hotel.
- Views: Some rooms overlook the stadium and gardens, while others face a construction site for a future high-rise, so these views will be blocked in coming years.
- Private Pools/Jacuzzis: Not expected or supplied at this sort of inner-city boutique hotel.
- Extras: Daily newspaper delivered to each room.
- How to Book: Booking.com will display the most competitive pricing.
- Phone: +91 (0)80 4254 8000

Ibis City Centre – Amenities
- Pool and spa amenities are not expected or offered at boutique hotels in urban settings.
- Physical Fitness Area: On the top floor and relatively large for a hotel this small.
- Other Amenities: Free computer access. Currency exchange services.
Ibis City Centre – Food and Drink
- Restaurant & Bar: Spice It – Spreading buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as individual orders all day. Affordable choices, generous portions and visible kitchen. Pleasant outdoor section too. • The Hub – Adjacent to the eatery, this vibrant bar/lounge serves diverse drinks.>
- Breakfast: Meals may be provided early, depending on the accommodations and reservation details. Available from 4 am until midday.
- Room Service: Not available.
Ibis City Centre – Rooms
- Room Types: Only 1 class – Standard Rooms (queen or twin beds). Some offer ‘Extra Perks’ (e.g. they face the street outside, and guests receive some complimentary laundry and drinks).
- Tobacco Use Areas: Smoking permitted in some rooms.
- Preferred Room: All rooms are similar. Higher floors farther from the road offer more peace and quiet, while those facing the front provide excellent views.
- For Families: Not really set up for families with young children. No space in the rooms to accommodate an extra bed and none have adjoining doors, but the lower nightly rates make reserving two proximate rooms affordable.
Ibis City Centre – Local Transport
- Walking along the sidewalks with shade and less traffic than other roads makes it comparatively pleasant to walk. Remarkably, the Ibis backs onto a residential area, almost like a village. Explore the lanes to get a genuine slice of everyday Indian city living.
- Public Transportation: The Namma (Bengaluru) Metro offers limited service but does travel to the major bus and train stations. The closest station – Cubbon Park – is located 2 km from the hotel.
- Transport Options and Three-Wheeled Vehicles: Very few taxis along the main road, so one is best arranged through reception. Otherwise, Uber and Ola are quite common. For most trips around the city, three-wheeled vehicles are good enough, but drivers won’t use meters, so bargain intensely.
