- After booking with your hotel, contact them and inquire about speedboat connections from Koh Samui. Hotels located along the northern and northeastern coasts take more time to reach. If you`re taking a boat from Samui to Haad Rin or Thong Sala before transferring via truck to your hotel, it will involve a couple hours of transit. If needing a spot for the initial night or two, Salad Buri will suffice. With a nice location near a lovely beach and pleasant swimming pools. Though the quality of rooms may be inconsistent (some large, some located up a steep incline) and staff interaction can be indifferent at times. So extended stays are possibly not recommended. But if the first nights go well one could always lengthen their booking.

For stays near Haad Rin, this offers a good option. It has two beautiful swimming pools, friendly staff, complimentary wireless internet, and spaciously sized rooms.
