16 Best Hotels in Oceanside, CA

Seabird Resort, Destination by Hyatt

A dog-friendly and cheerful yellow atmosphere with unobstructed views and luxurious spa.

My most recent birthday staycation at the Seabird Resort in downtown Oceanside offered an oceanview spa, daily yoga classes within an art gallery, and 3 deliciously diverse restaurants I can vouch for. Whether you’re looking for pet-friendly hotels or a family fun resort, you won’t want to drift far from the onsite attractions at the Seabird Resort.

Luxury travelers will enjoy the outdoor pool and hot tub that overlooks an unforgettable view of Oceanside’s Pier and sandy shores. The branding of the Seabird Resort exudes a warm and consistent vibe plus some of the most delightful robes and slippers.

👉 Pro Tip: You can pool hop and use their sister property’s ( Mission Pacific) rooftop pool next door.

Mission Pacific Hotel, JdV by Hyatt

Trendy hotel with unbeatable views from the rooftop’s pool and restaurant.

Mission Pacific Hotel, part of JdV by Hyatt, is the Seabird’s adjacent sister property. Both hotels are on the pricier side, but Mission Pacific feels posher. When booking a room, make sure to confirm its location because unfortunately, not all beach views are equal here.

Mission Pacific’s rooftop pool and jacuzzi, designer boutique, and dining set it apart. The on-site restaurant, Valle, elevated my tastebuds for a unique foodie experience. Grab your sunglasses because the roof is an incredible place to watch a sunset when you visit Oceanside.

Fin Hotel, a Tapestry Collection

History-rich and artistic small-boutique in a central location great for walking.

Booking.coma large building with a lot of windows

The Fin Hotel is a 10-minute walk to the beach and what it misses in oceanfront views, it surely makes up for it with a great location right on the S Coast Hwy that’s full of restaurants, coffee, shops, and murals.

The Fin’s restored building from the 1920s started as the Kiesker Hotel, Hotel DeWitt, and the Dolphin before it became the Fin.

A great mid-range budget hotel that’s pretty minimalistic in terms of amenities, the Fin has no gym, business center, or pool onsite. However, it’s located within a bustling neighborhood and perfect for exploring Oceanside without a car.
