Grand Junction does have public transportation. However, if you want to do any hiking, biking, and exploring nearby, it’s going to be much easier to get around with your own vehicle.

Visit Grand Junction in the Fall

The temperatures in July and August are often in the 90s, but Grand Junction begins to cool down in September. You’ll avoid the summer crowds in places like the Colorado National Monument and on popular mountain biking and hiking trails. And, perhaps most importantly, Grand Mesa is a beautiful place to see fall colors!

Drink Lots of Water

Grand Junction isn’t quite as high as Denver, but at just over 4,500 feet above sea level, the elevation is pretty serious!
