On the other hand, the Great Dunes of Corralejo are among one of the most popular destinations to explore in Fuerteventura, so one of my preferred plans is to spend the day on the beach, and then watch the sunset from the top of one of them.

It also boasts easy highway access, so many visitors select it for its convenient location.

For these reasons, it attracts quite a large volume of people, so if peace and quiet during rest is a priority, I suggest exploring some of the other beaches on this list.

2. Playa Alzada, one of the great beaches in Corralejo, Fuerteventura

If youโ€™re traveling by automobile, you have free parking right at the entry to the beach, but you can also take bus lines 6 and 7. Once here, all you need to do is follow the wooded walkway taking you to the base of the beach.

That area is also home to the popular beach club of Hotel Riu Oliva Beach, one of the most suggested all-inclusive hotels in Corralejo, and a parking area where you can leave your car, so there is a greater concentration of tourists. Keep in mind that, if preferred, you can also take the bus, which has a stop just 650 feet from the beach.

4. Dormidero Beach, a quiet beach in Corralejo, Fuerteventura

Playa Dormidero is one of the most tranquilbeaches to see in Corralejo. It has a relaxing atmosphere throughout the year, so you can go there even in August when the other beaches are crowded with visitors.

If you are looking for a beach in Corralejo with sand dunes, this location is a good choice, and youโ€™ll also discover calm and transparent waters where you can submerge yourself. Indeed, it is one of my preferred beaches, and I came across it during one of my initial visits to the island. I appreciate it greatly because it is one of the Corralejo beaches where you can observe people practicing kitesurfing on windy days.

You can access this beach by car or bus, and the nearest parking lot is around 820 feet from the beach entrance. Of course, remember that it`s shared with Playa de El Moro, so there`s commonly no space available if you arrive after noon during busy months.

5. Playa del Pozo, a Corralejo beach with plenty of space

Playa del Pozo is a beach in Corralejo approximately 1.2 miles from center, permitting swift access. Situated between Playa El Viejo and Playa El Mรฉdano, suitability for water-based activities distinguishes the location.

Playa del Viejo is also among the beaches of Corralejo in Fuerteventura that one could consider. It is located at the base of the famous Hotel Riu Palace Tres Islas, one of the top all-inclusive hotels in Fuerteventura, and an ideal spot to fully enjoy the surfing, sand, and sun.”

Here you will not find any services, so youโ€™d better come well prepared. Although it does not have its own parking area like other beaches in Corralejo, you can leave your car in the Playa del Moro parking lot and continue on foot, although there is also a nearby bus stop if you prefer public transportation.

11. Playa de los Verilitos, a Corralejo beach with a lively atmosphere

Playa de los Verilitos is one of the beaches situated in Corralejo within close proximity to the city center, so it is among the busiest. Additionally, its small size means finding available space is quite challenging, particularly during the peak summer months.

It is only a 15 minute drive from the center of Corralejo by car, so it is worth seeing, particularly if you are traveling with children. However, keep in mind that there is a dirt track leading to the beach, so drive carefully.

This is not one of the best beaches in Corralejo to take a swim or spend the day since it has strong undercurrents and is somewhat rocky. Instead, you can take some fun photos, enjoy this unique landscape, and continue your walk on one of the surrounding beaches in Corralejo.

15. Playa El Hierro, a wild, rustic beach in Corralejo

Ultimately, Playa El Hierro is one of the purestbeaches in Corralejo that you can explore. To arrive, you must have a vehicle because it is located in an isolated area that lacks public transit. Moreover, the road has fallen into disuse, so you must drive vigilantly.

This beach in Corralejo is also home to remnants of fossilized seaweed, so some areas look similar to Popcorn Beach.

On the other hand, it may not be one of the best picks for swimming, so you can opt for one of the alternative beaches in Corralejo if that activity is preferred.
