a hotel room with a view of the ocean

Situated centrally in Pattaya, this towering hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views unlike any other in the area. Situated above the Central Festival shopping center, the lobby is located on the 16th floor, with rooms ascending another 18 levels above. Throughout, the dΓ©cor exhibits a chic and elegant style. Deluxe Rooms feature a marble entrance and a bed positioned facing an angled balcony where sweeping vistas extend across the ocean and along Pattaya beach. More spacious Executive Plus Seaview rooms share these furnishings but boast truly splendid seaside perspectives from a balcony containing a Jacuzzi. Adjacent to the 16th-floor lobby, the Infinity pool is amongst the most extraordinary in Southeast Asia, while perspectives from the rooftop bar are yet more breathtaking.

2. Grand Centre Point Space

This one-of-a-kind hotel gives the appearance of a spaceship that landed in Na-Klua. The Kids Zone, Game Zone, interactive space wall, Space Water Park with four theme areas, and rooms that sleep up to six individuals make it our top pick for a family hotel in Pattaya. It’s also ideal for couples however there are many children. The sea view Onsen offers massage, a sauna, a silk bath, a cold room, and a natural hot springs bath. There’s also a Sky Pool on the roof overlooking Pattaya Bay and a Techno Gym with live or prerecorded trainers. Oort Cloud Tea Room provides organic tea, and there are several places to eat and drink, some with spectacular views. The rooms are tastefully spaced themed with all the electronics you’d expect from a ship, like Bluetooth speakers and wireless charging stations. It’s close to the beach but not on the beach.

3. Cape Dara

This five-star beachfront property in Na-Klua features luxurious accommodations and stunning ocean views. Two swimming pools located near the private beach provide scenic spots to relax while gazing out at the sea. Fine dining is available at Radius Restaurant serving international cuisine and Ming Xing Restaurant specializing in Cantonese dishes. Guest rooms exude warmth and comfort in neutral tones, yet the dramatic seaviews steal the show. Accommodation types range from single-room suites to spacious Family Suites, two-bedroom suites, and an opulent Private Pool Residence accommodating up to ten guests. Some units open right onto the sand with a personal balcony and soaking tub, others include a small private swimming pool.

4. COSI

This colorful boutique hotel located in Na-Klua is near Wong Amat Beach. The outdoor pool includes underwater speakers and two-person lounging beds. Right by the pool is a social hub and CafΓ© 247. Relax on sofas or swings, socialize over drinks, watch a movie, or play pool or beer pong. Rooms accommodate two adults and are ideal for couples.

5. The TJ

This contemporary hotel situated in a tranquil area provides guests with quiet accommodations a brief walk from south Jomtien beach and surrounding amenities. Guests can select from various room types, some with sliding doors opening onto the pool area, a selection of Family Suites, and an Executive Suite featuring a living space, terrace, and indoor hot tub with city views. An expansive outdoor pool includes a glass wall and is adjacent to the sauna. Additional on-site facilities include a restaurant, bar, and fitness center.

6. InterContinental

a hotel room with a large bed and a large window

Offering a serene environment ideal for families yet slightly separated, this resort is refreshingly unlike the crowded mega-resorts and towering condominiums nearby. The low-level blocks of accommodations feature attractive Thai-inspired exterior touches. From the street-level lobby, gardens slope down to a rocky shoreline. Lounge chairs sit on a raised sandy area near three expansive shaded pools. All rooms face the ocean, though only third and fourth floor levels can ensure ocean views. Club Rooms are magnificent at sea level with a sunken Jacuzzi and huge balcony, while villas include a private pool. The children`s club is one of Thailand`s best. Frequent taxi trips are necessary between Pattaya and Jomtien since amenities are sparse on Buddha Hill.

7. Siam@Siam

A family-friendly resort and garden retreat located downtown in Pattaya. On surprisingly expansive grounds, this graceful hotel consists of two wings situated among tropical gardens with fish ponds and banyan trees on either side of a waterway. Ocean Wing provides ocean views, though visibility from highest floors is mostly blocked by palms. The pool across the street faces the somewhat ragged beach that`s barely usable. However, attractions include the elegant courtyard containing antiques and the colonial-style lounge/billiard area. Rooms in the serene Garden Wing showcase a bamboo motif. The lagoon-style main pool is stunning, and space remains for six tennis courts. Remarkably, though near the end of the infamous nightclub street Walking Street, it`s distant enough from noise and patrons. The major boat terminal is also close enough to walk to.

8. Wave

a patio area with chairs, tables and umbrellas

Charming in size, ideally located on the beachfront, and uniquely fashioned (an excellent choice for couples or honeymooners). It truly stands alone with its pale-green Art Deco style reminiscent of Miami, a lobby and cafΓ© crammed with antiquities from the 1920s, and a pink Cadillac no longer functional outside. Though boasting a prime beachfront position, it has just 18 rooms spread across three floors. Since all rooms face the beach, they offer unimpeded sea views and are insulated from traffic noise. Most exhibit a similarly lovely Art Deco design, with pink-and-grey pillows, hanging lamps, and posters reminiscent of The Great Gatsby. The marvelous decoration continues in the Twilight Suites, with a four-poster bed and an adjoining living area. The streetside pool is inevitably loud and provides little privacy, while the beach on the opposite side is lovely but busy. Guests may also take advantage of the family-friendly facilities at the larger Bayview Hotel situated behind. The Wave is located in the heart of Pattaya, with the world-class Central Festival shopping center nearby.

9. Amari

a room with a large painting on the wall

Impressive amenities, quiet location, plus good family option. This high rise building is squeezed between the northern end of energetic Pattaya plus the calmer Na Klua area plus is walkable to the facilities plus beaches in both regions. The abundance of mirrors in the bright plus sunny Deluxe Rooms makes them feel more spacious. They also feature a curved glass desk plus open plan bathroom, but the angle of the balconies means that even rooms facing the front do not enjoy perfect sea views. The lagoon shaped pool on the ground level is magnificent plus offers a swim up bar, plenty of trees, plus a shallow end for toddlers. The beach over the road is marginally better 100m further south, plus it`s easy to reach by songthaew taxi truck.

10. Arbour

Our newest hotel in Pattaya is set back from the beach but boasts beautiful views. It is about a 15-minute walk to the Central Pattaya shopping mall. On the 24th floor is an infinity rooftop pool and Arbour Rooftop Bar, perfect for cocktails (and mocktails) at sunset. It is surrounded by white pillars and a distinctive white steel lattice cover. This high-rise hotel offers many room options, including a Penthouse Suite furnished with a private pool, one bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and sleeping capacity for four. There is also a fitness center and sauna, and Arbour Spa provides traditional Thai massages.

11. The Monttra

Perched on a cliff at the end of a small private shoreline rests The Monttra hotel. It’s an escape in nature situated in Buddha Hill. Abundant trees and grass surround an expansive infinity pool, and over to the side, a wooden deck and lounge chairs gaze out over the sea. Stone stairs through landscaped levels lead to the private beachfront. It’s ideal for couples. The glass-walled Kiin Restaurant serves Thai cuisine accompanied by panoramic perspectives. A few suite alternatives exist, including one with a private plunge pool. Jungle Gazebo Spa also presents ancient Thai healing therapies and goods.

12. Mera Mare

a hotel room with two beds and two nightstands

While small and affordable, this beachfront location is rare among the large resorts overlooking the sea. Not as sophisticated as its marble lobby implies, it is a distinctive boutique hotel nestled between major complexes. Most premium rooms face the modest gardens, though some offer ocean views (if trees allow) and sights of the main road. Situated about 100 meters from the esplanade, which diminishes much traffic noise. The rooms` unique layout and contemporary decor stand out. A couple family suites provide two bedrooms. The second-floor pool is airy and sunlit. The sole downside is the adjacent Hard Rock Hotel towering above the gardens, almost ominously. Not as lavish or expensive as others, its inconspicuous entrance is a stone`s throw from downtown Pattaya`s world-class Central Festival shopping center.

13. Centara Grand Mirage

a patio area with chairs, tables, and umbrellas

This beach resort and amusement park in Na-Klua is excellent for families. The Lost World water park has relaxing features like a lazy river as well as slides for excitement. Areas for children of all ages include the Zulu Family Club and Kids’ Club with games. Multiple dining and drink areas number six in total. An adventure park offers a zip line and elevated obstacle course for thrills. Room options provide alternatives like Family suites or some with ocean views from private balconies. In front of the private beach, a large lagoon pool sits where all watersports are available. Additional amenities on site include a tennis court, fitness center, and spa.

14. Swiss Paradise

A family-operated tranquil boutique lodging in a residential area in Na-Klua. It’s positioned farther back from the shore, so it’s more peaceful, though Wong Amat Beach is only a 10-minute walk away. It’s also near eateries, a fruit marketplace, and a Terminal 21 shopping center. The moderately small outdoor pool is surrounded by palms and exotic plants, perfect for relaxing on a lounge chair. Overlooking the pool is a restaurant and bar serving breakfast, Thai specialties, and International cuisine. The roof-top terrace has exceptional views of the city and the nearby Centara Grand Mirage resort.

The 12 guest rooms are tastefully decorated with Thai details and teak furniture. Rooms offer king-sized beds and a balcony with a view of either the pool or the city.

15. Majestic

Modern secured villas in Buddha Hill. The villas are tranquil and protected in a secured community and about a 10-minute walk to a small beach. The design is modern and clean, with a gorgeous blue-tiled pool. Each has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private pool and hot tub, a kitchen, living room, a washing machine, and a patio with outdoor furniture. With separate bedrooms and some with an extra sofa bed, the villas are an excellent choice for families or groups.

16. Woodlands

Quiet and comfortable, with lovely pools and gardens. This hotel is located in the Na-Klua area, an easy trip by Songthaew taxi truck from the busy areas of Pattaya. There are two separate sections, but guests can share the shaded gardens and pools. Superior Rooms, which face flourishing gardens and are further from the main road, feature a colorful style and sizable balcony, but the bathroom is small. Deluxe Rooms are closer to the road but still peaceful, and most face the pool. Surprisingly uncommon among other resorts, some ground floor rooms have a ladder from the patio leading to the main pool, with an attached swim-up bar. Other attractions include a snooker table, a children`s pool, and a petite library. However, sun-lovers may be let down that the closest beach is 500m away.

17. Beach Gallery House

Directly across from the seaside in South Jomtien. The compact pool includes soothing waterfalls, and one side faces the street, so it can become somewhat noisy at times. There are many accommodation choices, like apartments and family rooms, and some higher up offer ocean perspectives. The family rooms include bunk beds. 2 bedroom apartments provide a kitchen, dining room, living room, one bathroom, and balcony or patio. There’s no restaurant on site, but several are near by.

18. The Classroom

This boutique hotel in South Beach is ideally situated near the lively nightlife scene. It is within easy walking distance of Walking Street, Central Pattaya Mall, and various eateries. The rooms provide basic amenities plus extras like a small refrigerator, microwave, and dining table. An Sports Bar featuring food and drinks as well as large-screen TVs is located on the main floor, while the Music Lounge hosts live performances. There is no pool on-site, but the beach is just a brief walk away. The owner is an avid golfer with recommendations for the best local golf courses..
