Empower Field at Mile High is Colorado’s largest and best-known stadium. It’s home to the Denver Broncos football team and hosts special events including Colorado’s largest concerts. It has a huge seating capacity, accommodating up to 84,000 people.
Visitors to the stadium can bring in a clear bag or small purse. Tailgating is popular, making parking at Empower Field very limited. Many visitors park at an off-site lot or use other ways of getting around Denver, like the light rail and scooters.

This indoor stadium is also one of the popular professional sports venues used for concerts and comedy performances. Ball Arena also hosts a Monster Jam truck show in the winter. The venue allows bags that are 4 in x 6 in x 1.5 in or smaller.
Coors Field
Downtown eateries and bars surround this Ballpark stadium where the Colorado Rockies play beneath scenic summer sunsets.

Seeing a major league baseball game at Coors Field is a summer must. This activity is great for families, and those on a budget, and is one of the best Denver date ideas!
Coors Field is within walking distance of several eateries and bars. I recommend that Colorado Rockies baseball fans pregame at ViewHouse, then visit Cherry Cricket or Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs after the game. They’re some of the best restaurants in Denver!
The baseball stadium itself offers fantastic views of the Rocky Mountains. There’s also a playground for kids, and fountains that go off during the 7th inning stretch and when the Colorado Rockies hit a home run. Coors Field allows guests to bring in soft, single-pocket bags measuring 16 in x 16 in x 8 in or smaller.
National Western Complex
Rodeos, stock shows, and other industry events take place at this massive venue.

The National Western Complex was built with cattle in mind. The main annual event at the indoor complex is the National Western Stock Show. Since 1906, the complex has hosted rodeos, stock shows, and more than 300 vendor booths.
The space is also used for other sporting events, concerts, and tradeshows. These include the popular Denver Mineral, Fossil, and Gem Show and the Mile High Showdown Car Show.
Denver Coliseum
Another National Western Stock Show venue that hosts a variety of events year-round.

The Denver Coliseum was built in 1951 and hosts events during the National Western Stock Show. The rest of the year, the indoor coliseum has concerts, ice skating, high school sports tournaments, truck and car shows, and a variety of other events. It’s within walking distance of the National Western Complex.
Infinity Park at Glendale
A stadium built to support rugby games and community events.

The outdoor fields at Infinity Park were built to host rugby games and tournaments for players from around the world. The arena off Kentucky Ave is also used for community movie nights in summer, along with other festivals and sports events. Visitors can enter with water bottles, and food and beverages are sold inside the stadium.
Dick’s Sporting Goods Park
Fans of Phish and the Colorado Rapids soccer team are well familiar with this Commerce City stadium.

The Colorado Rapids pro soccer team plays at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The stadium also hosts youth soccer clinics and sports games, plus concerts including an annual Phish tour. Concessions are available during events. Parking is free for Rapids games, but you may have to pay during concerts.

It’s the home of ThunderRidge, Mountain Vista, Highlands Ranch, and Rock Canyon High Schools. The sports stadium was formerly Shea Stadium and many people still refer to it by that name.
Jeffco Stadium
The place for Friday Night lights in Jefferson County.
