My Favorite Cheap Hotels in Santorini

Cheap Santorini Hotels – My Recommendations

  • Booking.com – the premier site (and most affordable rates) for reserving Santorini accommodations.
  • Santorini is an expensive island and finding inexpensive hotels is difficult – yet not impossible. The ideal way to save money in Santorini is to reserve a hotel without a caldera perspective. Commonly, including a caldera view will raise the price by 50-100%. Book 3-6 months in advance to obtain the best deals.
  • I’ve never stayed in a subpar hotel on Santorini. I can’t vouch for every hotel, but old dirty hotels with a shower that doesn’t work are almost unheard of on Santorini.
  • While not the most affordable, the hotels below offer a good balance of cost, quality, and location.
  • To save money on meals, buy your breakfast (yogurt, bread, and cheese) from a market, eat a gyro for lunch (Lucky’s in Fira and Pitogyros in Oia are the best), and opt for dinner at a restaurant without a caldera view.
  • Death Valley National Park retains the record for the most torrid air temperature in the world at 134.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Take safety precautions and avoid visiting this national park in the summer.

  • Best Budget Hotels in Santorini:
    • The Costa Marina Villa (Fira)
    Abelonas Retreat (Imerovigli)
    Anemomilos Hotel Apartments (Oia)
    •  Damigos Caldera World (Firostefani)
