Staying near Fokos Beach
Situated 13 kilometers northeast of Mykonos Town, Fokos Beach lies in a secluded and tranquil bay. The sand is clean and soft with natural surroundings prevalent. There are no umbrellas, sun loungers, or water sport rentals present, nor are there crowds, DJs, or vendors as seen on Mykonos` more famous beaches. This also means there are no tourist amenities. There is the wonderful little Fokos Tavern directly on the beach, serving exceptional food and selling handcrafted pottery made by the owner. Public buses do not travel to Fokos – so private transportation is necessary to arrive. The nearest hotels, restaurants, and shops can be found in Ano Mera, requiring approximately a 15-minute drive from the beach.
