Las Vegas Family Hotels – Tips & Advice

The 7 Best Hotels for Families in Las Vegas

1. Four Seasons Hotel (luxury) – South Strip

Located at the top of the Mandalay Bay Resort, this casino-free, non-smoking hotel prioritizes families as shown through amenities like petite robes and treats plus a concierge service focused on planning kid-friendly adventures. Guests can choose between accessing the private pool on the rooftop through Four Seasons or making use of the wave pool, lazy river, and swimming pools at Mandalay Bay below. This is where we stayed during our most recent family trip to Las Vegas.

2. Mandalay Bay Resort (luxury) – South Strip

Moreover, the exceptional pool complex is unparalleled, featuring a wave pool, lazy river, and three full-size pools including an authentic beach. Spacious, comfortable rooms avoid requiring travelers to pass through the casino, allowing for a pleasant stay.

3. New York – New York Hotel (luxury) – South Strip

The impressive roller coaster wrapping around the New York skyline will entice thrill-seeking youngsters and adults (provided kids are 54 inches tall). A midway arcade honoring Coney Island provides games and shopping. Though small compared to pools in Vegas, this one boasts plenty of shade to protect tender skin.

4. Courtyard Hotel (midrange) – South Las Vegas

The large, clean rooms and friendly staff make this a top selection. The pool is small but includes a expansive hot tub. An on-site shop allows you to pick up a snack or assemble a light meal. There’s a complimentary shuttle to the strip or airport. King rooms with a sofa bed can accommodate a family of four.

5. The Golden Nugget (midrange) – Fremont Street

An awesome swimming pool, large waterslide, and aquarium housing sharks are among the highlights here. This location is great for families who prefer staying downtown over being on the famous strip.

6. Excalibur Resort (midrange) – South Strip

A decent affordable choice for staying on the Strip. The sword and sorcery motif is still apparent but fading fast as it tries to get rid of the kitsch that made it famous. The medieval show will entertain with jousting knights, dancing maidens, and eating with your fingers. The pool area was just doubled in size and has an all-ages pool with waterslide. The “Widescreen” rooms have recently been redone and are much improved than the “Standard” rooms. Midway games and video arcade on-site.

7. Circus Circus Hotel (cheap) – North Strip

A family-centric hotel situated in Las Vegas offers kids amenities including two sizable pools with jacuzzis and another at a neighboring RV park. An on-site midway area maintains carnival games, an expansive arcade, as well as continual circus performances from noon until midnight for entertainment. Thrills seekers can enjoy over 25 rides and attractions inside the adjacent Adventuredome indoor theme park. Recently renovated guest rooms provide adequate space though modest in size. Children lodging is complimentary.
