Moving anywhere can be an intimidating task, especially if you aren’t familiar with any of the surrounding areas. That is why I have put together a list of the 9 best suburbs of Las Vegas, so you can find an area that is perfect for you!Β

Summerlin

Summerlin South is part of the Las Vegas Valley and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is just a 15-minute drive away. This is a popular Vegas suburb for families since it is a little more distant from the Strip, but close enough that you can drive there if you feel like going out to explore the many fun things to do in Vegas.

There are plenty of different Clark County schools in the Summerlin area, so many families tend to live in the area.Β  Downtown Summerlin is a popular outdoor shopping mall where many families spend their free time. The Las Vegas Ballpark, parks, farmer’s markets, and several gorgeous walking trails are fun things to do in this suburb.

Centennial Hills

Centennial Hills is one of the up-and-coming Las Vegas suburbs that has plenty to offer for everyone.

Centennial Hills is a newer Las Vegas suburb and more people are moving to this area as it begins to expand. Houses and apartments in this area tend to be more affordable than in other areas since it is a less populated Vegas suburb and it is farther away from the Strip.

Gilcrease Orchard, many parks, and many grocery stores and shopping areas make it a very family-friendly area. There are also a few different bars and places to gamble in the area, but more nightlife is only 20 minutes away on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sunrise Manor

Settle down in this quiet yet cozy suburb not far from the Las Vegas Strip.

Sunrise Manor is a suburb in the Las Vegas area where many military families and couples reside due to the proximity to the Nellis Air Force Base. There are plenty of delicious restaurants and grocery stores in the area, so you won’t have to travel far to find what you need.Β 

Sunrise Manor does not have a lot of nightlife, so it is perfect for people looking to live in a place away from that scene. Frenchman Mountain is in this area and has a variety of stunning hikes for outdoor lovers.Β

Spring Valley

Spring Valley is another suburb in the Las Vegas valley where most residents tend to rent their homes. Most people enjoy living in this suburb because it is tranquil and all the shopping areas and gas stations are easily accessible.Β 

Desert Breeze and the Spring Valley Community Park are a few of the parks in the area with amenities like basketball parks and playgrounds. There are also some of the most delicious local restaurants near Vegas, plus a few bars if you need a drink once in a while.

Boulder City

Boulder City is one of the few places in Nevada where gambling is not allowed, so it is a great place to live if you are looking for minimal nightlife. Hoover Dam is one of the main attractions and many people travel there each day just to see it.Β 

Bring your family to Hemenway Park to spend a day with Nevada’s state animal, the bighorn sheep. You will also enjoy the lovely Historic Downtown area which has a large number of antique shops and tasty places to eat.Β

North Las Vegas

There are several different casinos in North Las Vegas, so you can go out and gamble without driving to the Strip. For the perfect family outing, head to the gorgeous Nature Discovery Park and then the Aliante public library to pick out some books.

The area is usually very busy with tourists since it is home to part of the Las Vegas Strip and the Harry Reid International Airport. This Las Vegas suburb is perfect for families and singles with many great neighborhoods and even golf courses. Southern Highlands and Mountain’s Edge are two neighborhoods in the area that many people enjoy because of the large sense of community.Β 

There are over five different parks in the area, so there are always sporting events and people hanging out together outside. There is also a great variety of cute coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores so everything you need is a quick drive or walk away.Β

Henderson is the perfect place to live if you want to escape the crowds of Las Vegas while still being close to all the fun.
