The Seattle Underground Tour

Visits below the surface level of Pioneer Square in Seattle allow tourists to wander through the maze of buried walkways and storefronts that were once the city`s ground-level streets. These “underground” excursions provide an informative overview (or refresher) on Seattle`s history, fascinating both children and adults. Bill Speidel’s Underground Tour represents the pioneering experience highly regarded by many. Groups tend to be large in size, while the guides demonstrate friendliness and knowledge – though some may find their theatrical style either extremely enjoyable or quite irritating, contingent on one`s personality. This prevalent daytime adventure touches briefly on the city’s shadier aspects using coded language such that the young audience members remain oblivious. However, all wagers are off concerning the company`s after-dark Underworld Tour, which unabashedly takes delight in recounting this town’s sordid history involving drugs, crime, and prostitution. All same locations are covered as in daylight hours, but the stories explained at night consist of more risqué content and guests receive a complimentary cocktail upon tour conclusion (Age 21+). Advance ticketing is highly recommended as both excursions regularly sell out
