The sole downside relates to the location opposite a busy port over a kilometer from the town center, with just a couple small takeaway food shops in between.   • Coastline: It faces the ocean but there is no beach anywhere in or around Nuku’alofa. The closest usable beach is at Ha’atafu on the extremely western tip, approximately 25 km away.
  • Views: Views of the sea are impacted by the main road and port. Views to the backyards and gardens of homes are arguably nicer and certainly quieter.
