How to get to Antiparos from Paros

  • Antiparos can be accessed from Paros through two ferry ports: the smaller Pounta harbor and the primary ferry terminal at Parikia. We advise using the Pounta ferry as it runs more often and is a briefer boat journey compared to the Parikia ferry. The Pounta ferry allows cars, whereas the Parikia ferry does not.
  • The ferry called Pounta ferry runs daily throughout the year, departing every 30-45 minutes from 7am until around midnight. It crosses the narrow strait between Pounta and Antiparos in only 7 minutes. You can get to Pounta by taxi or take the bus from Parikia. The bus station in Parikia is about 200 yards south of the ferry port to the left facing the water. Bus #4 goes between Pounta and Antiparos roughly every hour; tickets can be purchased at the kiosk at the terminal. Check here for information on Paros bus schedules and fares.
  • The passenger-only ferry called the Parikia to Antiparos runs only during the summer, making numerous trips daily. Sailings are timed to coincide with ferry arrivals at the Parikia Port, allowing weather permits. As these are quite small boats, they are sometimes canceled even when the large ferries are functioning.
  • It is recommended to ” rent a vehicle” in Paros when staying in Antiparos, as bus service on the island is limited. A car will allow exploration of beautiful southern beaches that are beyond the bus route
