Getting Around Paros by Bus

When residing on Paros, one of the most convenient and cost-effective ways to travel between the key towns and beaches, in addition to the Antiparos ferry at Pounta, is by using the island’s excellent public transportation system. The coach-style vehicles are comfortable, air conditioned, and typically on schedule. Buses on Paros make a route surrounding the perimeter of the island, with some routes heading inland to the smaller villages.

  • Bus tickets from Parikia to the Antiparos car ferry at Pounta cost 2.00€. The #4 Pounta/Antiparos bus operates approximately every hour; tickets can be purchased at the terminal kiosk. During peak season, a small boat runs from the Parikia Port to Antiparos. If prone to seasickness, use the larger car ferry from Pounta.
