Sifnos Ferries
Travel to Sifnos from Athens typically involves a 2 to 3 hour ferry ride via SeaJets and Hellenic Seaways ferries, and 5 to 6 hours on the slower and less expensive Zante Ferries. Most ferries from Athens also make a stop in Serifos before arriving in Sifnos. During peak season (May through October), there will usually be 2 to 5 ferries each day from Athens. In low season, at minimum one ferry will operate daily. Routes and schedules for ferries between Sifnos and other Cycladic islands are subject to change with little notice but most days during high season will include ferries to and from Milos, Paros, and Santorini. Sifnos does not have an airport, with the nearest being located in Paros, Milos, and Athens.
• How to acquire ferry tickets: Ferryhopper.com
• Best seats: I suggest Business or VIP if available (nicer seats in a more relaxed setting)
• Plan to purchase tickets ranging from 2 to 3 months ahead (earlier options may not be accessible yet, and later dates could have no availability)
