Finikas Beach Hotel – Location

  • Location: Agali Bay near Pyrgaki Beach
  • Access: Finikas Beach Hotel was roughly 20 km from the Naxos ferry terminal and 17 km from the Naxos Airport. It was situated between Pyrgaki beach and the Cedar Forest of Aliko.
  • Sleeping areas are found on some ferry companies like Blue Star, Hellenic, Sea Speed, and a few others. They are common on routes connecting cities like Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Syros, Crete, Rhodes, and Kos. Cabins equipped with beds and private bathrooms offer a restful way to experience what can be lengthy 8 to 12-hour ferry voyages. An overnight trip is not necessary to rent a sleeping cabin. Cabins can be booked for groups of 2, 3, or 4 guests together; or for solo travelers in same-sex cabins. To search for and reserve bunks or cabins use the FerryHopper website and look for a bed symbol which signifies that ferry has sleep areas available for rent (typically doubling the cost of a regular ticket).

Public transportation options are available from the port or airport, generally lined up after the arrival of every flight or ferry, though waiting may be required to secure one. A taxi ride from the ferry port to Finikas Beach Hotel would cost approximately €30 and take around 30 minutes. A taxi from the airport would also cost about €30 and take around 25 minutes. Taxis on Naxos do not use meters, so be sure to agree on a price with the driver before departing.

For people who prefer to drive themselves, we advise renting a vehicle near the harbor, where you`ll have more choice among cars and rental companies than in the beach towns or villages. We strongly suggest reserving a vehicle beforehand, especially if you require an automatic transmission.
