Go to San Juan, Puerto Rico if you’re seeking a location that will uplift your spirits and provide plenty of vitamin D. I traveled to San Juan in the middle of February. I was never without entertainment thanks to the cuisine, people, beaches, and attractions.

Old San Juan is easily explored on foot, and a trip to Puerto Rico would not be complete without wandering around its colorful streets. Visit historic sites like El Morro and Castillo San Cristobal. Sample the tasty Puerto Rican cuisine at restaurants such as Deaverura.

There are plenty of beaches for relaxing, though I’d especially recommend Escambron Beach. Craving a day adventure? Renting a vehicle to drive to El Yunque National Park where you’ll be greeted by the calls of the tiny coqui frog.

Colorado

World-class ski resorts, natural hot springs, and unique mountain towns await in the top US state for winter adventures.

This ancient city also offers modern attractions appealing those seeking refined dining or sweet treats in its narrow alleyways. Renting a Vespa to explore like in Roman Holiday can be rewarding. Rome serves as an excellent starting point for further discoveries throughout Italy.

Vail and Breckenridge are two of Colorado`s most renowned resorts with much to offer passionate skiers. Head to Telluride for superb skiing opportunities, snowshoe hiking, ice skating, and even adventures riding horses through snow.

This 11,043-foot mountain necessitates a 14-mile endeavor involving over 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Hikers should be warned: Telegraph Peak typically receives snow as early as late November so you’ll need to have the proper gear essentials for this trek. However, the panoramic views of the entire desert from the summit make the challenges completely worthwhile.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Join in the Mardi Gras festivities, listen to talented jazz musicians, and dine on the finest Cajun-Creole cuisine in the nation.

Centrally located on Nafplio’s Syntagma Square sits this impressive yet approachable collection that serves as a good primer on the history and geology of the surrounding Argolid region. Displayed across two floors and divided by era, the museum’s holdings include local artifacts dating back to the Paleolithic Period (10,000 BC), most notably a bronze suit of armor from neighboring Dendra that has been dated to the 15th century BC. One can see the full exhibit in about an hour or two, contingent on your tolerance for museums and whether you pause to view the informative video presentation. Admission is €6, €3 from November through March. Hours vary seasonally. Closed on Tuesdays. – Map

New Orleans celebrates Mardi Gras every February, the biggest festival in Louisiana. Accommodation prices are high during this time, but excitement in the bustling city is also high.

Experiencing Mardi Gras is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion. It’s perfect for those who love cultural parades, music performances, and massive crowds. Don’t neglect the other fantastic New Orleans attractions, though.

Exploring the historic French Quarter, visitors can pop into venues along Frenchman Street to listen to the local sounds. Two tastes indigenous to New Orleans shouldn`t be missed. Sample beignets from Cafe Du Monde, and order jambalaya or red beans and rice from Dooky Chase, my preferred restaurant in the city.

Southern California

Visit Los Angeles and San Diego or Palm Springs and Death Valley with smaller crowds and ideal desert weather.

Situated on the Belmont University grounds, the Belmont Estate was developed between 1849 and 1860. Adelicia Acklen was one of the wealthiest females in the United States during that time. The home interior of the Italian-style villa she had built has been restored to its 19th century appearance.

✈️ Travel to Florence| πŸ›ŽοΈ Accommodation in Florence| Location to Remain | Activities to Participate In

February is among the best times to visit Florence, Italy to miss the swarms. Trust me, I’ve been to Florence in peak summer. I don’t advise it unless you like being shoulder-to-shoulder with other visitors!

A trip in February means cooler weather, fewer visitors, and cheaper accommodations. This is the perfect time to check out Florence’s world-class museums. No visit is complete without a trip to the massive Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery, and the Bargello National Museum. Admire works by Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt at each.

I also suggest enjoying as much gelato as your stomach can handle (yes, even during winter). Check out Sky’s 3-day itinerary for Florence to ensure the best trip. It covers lodging suggestions and where to stop for food along the route.

The shorter February days and longer nights in Norway make it a prime time to see the Aurora Borealis if your goal is witnessing the northern lights. Remaining in places within the Arctic Circle such as TromsΓΈ increases the potential for catching glorious displays of the phenomenal night sky spectacle.

Outdoorly partners and travelers will discover sufficient skiing, dog-sledding, and snowshoeing possibilities. There are also options if you favor a more easygoing vacation. Book a boutique hotel in Bergen or Oslo at an affordable off-peak cost. Explore museums, spend time in cozy saunas, or cruise through the fjords.

Winter is not usually thought to be an ideal time to visit Paris. However, I think it`s one of the best times to visit in February, as you can experience France’s capital city with significantly fewer crowds. Just be certain you can handle the cold, windy, and sometimes rainy weather.

Paris is colloquially known as β€œThe City of Love”, thus making a visit highly recommended if you intend to organize a romantic Valentine’s Day trip. Bundle up for a walk to the Eiffel Tower, appreciate shorter waits at the Louvre, and browse the inventory at Shakespeare and Company. All are must-sees on your Paris itinerary.

With any luck, you’ll likely be able to secure reservations to highly-rated eateries much easier. Dine at some of the best restaurants and cafes surrounded by locals rather than other tourists.

Solitary travelers admire Thailand, and we have a handy set of travel suggestions if you’re contemplating a solo trip. There’s plenty to do throughout the country, but its nightlife and beaches are particularly splendid.

Explore Bangkok’s most renowned (but yes, crowded) Chatuchak Market. Or go to the Train Night Market, a foodie’s paradise. Head over to Koh Chang or Railay to unwind on some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
