Reaching Mikra Thira itself is an enjoyable experience. A scenic ten-minute voyage aboard a passenger-only ferry from Ammoudi port in Oia, on Santorini`s northern coast, brings you to Thirassia`s Riva Port. The ferry, a charming and convenient mode of transportation, operates three to four times daily during the summertime months, and costs just €1. (Prebooking is not necessary.) For an even more exclusive experience, private water taxis can also be chartered; advance booking is required and the trip will cost roughly €40 each way. Taxis are available from Riva Port to Mikra Thira.

  • Tour and Tasting Opportunities: Five 30-minute trips showcasing the vineyard and winery each day provide an opportunity to sample wines priced between €3-€5 each. A package including a tour, tastings of 3 wines along with Greek cheeses and meats is available for €50 per person, requiring booking at least 24 hours in advance through the website here.
  • Parking: On-site parking is available.
  • Access: Passenger ferries routinely transport visitors from Ammoudi Bay in Oia to Thirassia’s port of Riva. These ferries depart daily at 8am, 12:40pm, and 5:20pm and return from Thirassia to Oia at 7:50am, 12:30pm, and 5:10pm. The inexpensive 10 minute ferry ride costs €1 with no need for advance reservations. Taxis are available at Riva Port to transport guests to Mikra Thira Winery. Those arriving at the port without a taxi can call Mr. Sirigos at +30 6976 995236 for transport
    or Mrs. Pitsikali at +30 6983 896203. Note: there is no evening ferry service.
