Ferries from Athens (Rafina) to Mykonos

The island of Mykonos can be reached by ferry from the Rafina Ferry Port in between two and a half to three hours on the swiftest catamarans and high-speed ferries, and from four to six hours on the slower car ferries. Most ferries from Rafina to Mykonos also stop at Syros and Tinos along the route. During the busy season (May to October) there will typically be four to seven ferry departures each day from the Rafina Port. In the slower months there will consistently be no less than one ferry daily. Ferries also travel from the Piraeus ferry port to Mykonos. While Rafina is farther away from central Athens than Piraeus, it is closer to the Athens airport.

How to acquire ferry tickets: Ferryhopper.com
• Best seats: I suggest Business or VIP if available (nicer seats in a more relaxed setting)
• Plan to purchase tickets ranging from 2 to 3 months ahead (earlier options may not be accessible yet, and later dates could have no availability)
