One of the most romantic locations on Mykonos and one of my preferred hotels in Greece. I enjoy the setting between two fantastic beaches. Equally charming and stylish. Overlooking beautiful Psarou Beach, which is well-sheltered from the wind. In the opposing direction, it’s an easy walk to Platis Gialos beach and the excellent restaurants there. The hotel’s complimentary shuttle assistance gets you to Mykonos Town in fewer than 10 minutes.

  • Minivans (called β€œtaxi collectifs”) regularly transport travelers between the significant locations of Fort-de-France and areas such as St-Pierre, Trois Îlets, Le Diamant, and Ste-Anne. Taking these services for one or more trips can be entertaining (and economical), but generally you’ll have much more freedom (and spare significantly more time) with a rental automobile.

2. Santa Marina – Ornos Beach

a large body of water with a cruise shipHotel phone: +30 22890 23220
Great for families with a lovely semi-private beach and small playground with play equipment. The resort is constructed up the side of a hill and sea view rooms have wonderful views. The restaurants of Ornos are a brief walk away and there is a regular free shuttle into Mykonos Town that takes less than 10 minutes. If you have young children, this is the best hotel on Mykonos.

  • You may also reserve rental automobiles for pick-up at the ferry dock – choose β€œSantorini Port”. 51. Tropicana Hotel, Suites & Villas – Paradise Beach

a beach scene with a view of the oceanHotel phone: +30 22890 78746
The famous party beach, Paradise, is overlooked by an adults-only hotel that takes soundproofing very seriously. Tropicana is really two properties in one: a moderately priced lower section with standard rooms, apartments, and deluxe rooms with outdoor hot tubs, and an upscale villa collection on higher floors all with private pools. All guests can access the four swimming pools (one for suites, one heated, and two infinity edge styles), a luxurious spa featuring quartz and gold body treatments, a modern Greek restaurant open all day, and three poolside snack and beverage stations. Tropicana Beach Club on the shore is separate but hotel visitors get free entry to events there while needing to pay extra for beach chairs and umbrellas.

Mykonos Town Hotels

Mykonos Town acts as the hub and center of nightlife for the island. It has an incredibly lively vibe at night when the narrow lanes are packed with an international crowd enjoying themselves. There are many great food options, higher-end shopping, and trendy bars. Half the fun involves getting lost within the winding alleyways limited to pedestrians only. Some individuals prefer staying in the beach towns, but I recommend basing yourself in town and making the short commute to beaches during the daytime hours. Return to the town in the late afternoon and enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere of Mykonos Town deep into the night.

Ornos Beach Hotels

The liveliest beach in Mykonos. Ornos boasts natural splendor with wonderful views and surroundings, but experiences significant crowds especially in summer months. Clean, crystal-clear water that is tranquil and very child-friendly. Good eateries and reliable bus connections to Mykonos Town. This marks the starting point of the water taxi route, with stops along the southern coast beaches, traveling eastward to Platis Gialos, Paraga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari, and ending at Elia.

Elia Beach Hotels

Elia beach, located on the island of Mykonos, is the longest stretch of sand. It has a golden color and features some high-end resorts. However, it is quite far from Mykonos Town so it can feel remote. Water taxis and one bus connect Elia to the town.

Megali Ammos Hotels

Generally peaceful shoreline around 500 meters from Mykonos Town. Pleasant sand and swimming however it very well might be blustery. It`s an easy stroll from the Chora, notwithstanding no walkways. The inns underneath should be considered as a feature of Mykonos Town yet close to Megali Ammos beach.

Agios Stefanos Hotels

This beach by the ferry dock in Tourlos town is around 3 kilometers from the core of Mykonos town. Agios Stefanos has a small sandy beach with a handful of restaurants and beach clubs, such as the wonderful Limnios tavern providing gorgeous sunset vistas. This beach is not the most scenic in Mykonos, but it is good for swimming and has some protection from winds. Public transportation like buses conveniently link this area to the airport and Mykonos town.

Aleomandra Hotels

Panormos Hotels

Low-key beach with just one restaurant and one beach club keeping the area active but not overwhelming. Panormos is a little more exposed to the winds than the south coast beaches, but its setting in a cove shelters it somewhat. This is one of the longest beaches on Mykonos. No bus service or water taxi; you’ll want a car to stay here.

Kalafatis Hotels

Mykonos’ exclusively Blue Flag-awarded beach, Kalafatis, fronts a small, coastal village sharing its name. Situated too far east for the watercraft, despite there being bus connections to Mykonos Town, this lengthy, tree-lined beach never feels overcrowded. Kalafatis is most popular for windsurfing, with a water sports center at the northern end, a few umbrella sunbed sets available for rental, and ample open space to spread a blanket and stake your claim.

Ano Mera Hotels

Ano Mera, located on Mykonos island, is surprisingly small for the second largest village. While compact, it still retains some traditional elements such as the 13th century Gyzi Castle, 18th century Paleokastro Monastery, and 16th century Panagia Tourliani Monastery and ecclesiastical museum, as seen from outside its fortified walls in the picture above. Visitors to Ano Mera can find authentic dining and local products at taverns and shops at rates more reasonable than those in the larger town of Mykonos or beaches.

Mykonos Hotels with Private Pools

a blue and white boat sitting on top of a blue ocean

Unlike Santorini, Mykonos doesn’t have as many lodging options with private pools or hot tubs – but some do exist and are usually worth the added cost (at least in my opinion, I enjoy having a private pool).
